Jack's Comments:

This new & improved tie down bracket set is the best reproduction yet. It used to be the easy to tell if you had reproduction tie down brackets by looking at the edges. Originals were stamped out with a sheer that caused a tearing look in the metal and the reproductions had a consistent pattern of a plasma cut. This new version uses a modern cutting technique that more closely replicates the sheer look and therefore, it’s very difficult to tell they are not originals. We also have the mounting hardware available.  We have a good picture of a 700 mile survivor 1969 Boss 429 with untouched production tie down brackets installed.

Concours Notes: Its very common to see the factory workers only installed the two through bolts (see last picture).

San Jose Built Mustangs:
San Jose built Mustang used a tie down bracket very close to this one but the upper corners were squared off and the tap length was shorter. We are working on making a reproduction of this unique tie down so check back with us.

Other known applications:
 1965-66 A & K Code Mustangs (fits good and looks almost identical to originals). Hardware kit is unique to to these years.
