Tube-in-tube driveshaft info:
Tube-in-tube driveshafts have a primary 3" tube with a smaller tube inserted into the end of it. Rubber is injected in between the tubes to insulate and bond the two different sized tubes together. The tube-in-tube driveshafts were smoother driving and more quiet than the solid tube driveshafts. The bad news is the rubber breaks down and they start to vibrate. The tube-in-tube design is not serviced so the only option is to replace the rear yoke with a standard Ford 3" 1310 tube yoke (no extra charge to you). The good news is Ford used both versions so your driveshaft will still be concours correct. Contact us if you have more questions about this unique driveshaft.
