This is the latest Concours reproduction of one of the two short power steering hoses that connect the hydraulic ram to the valve body. It has the unique double crimped fittings, yellow zinc plating, yellow ink hose strip and die stamped engineering number just like 1970 factory production hoses.
This hose cost a lot more than a regular service hose but its the only one on the market that fit, function and look just like factory hose.
CAUTION: This hose has to be installed in the correct port on ram and valve otherwise the steering wheel will violently rotated back and forth when started. Refer to the 1970 chassis assembly manual page 79 for proper installation. Ford Shop manuals also describes how to properly install this hose.
Q: What make this hose not exactly like a production hose?
A: Doesn't have the tiny FORD oval logo stamped next to the engineering number.
