Jack's Comments:
Perfect reproduction of the unique black plastic clip that secures the 4-speed speedometer cable to the lower center of the firewall. We have also seen it used for other applications (see Concours note #2 and last two pictures). You can see how this clip was used and how it compares to an original clip in the pictures below.
The backup switch wire harness clip you see in the picture is also available.
Concours Notes:
1) We have also seen the common flat style plastic strap used for the speedo-cable and the backup wire harness. At this point we are sure this clip was used by the Dearborn factory but we haven't been able to confirm it was used at the San Jose and Metuchen factories. We will update as the investigation continues. If anyone has information or pictures please forward it us. UPDATE: We posted one picture of a flat plastic strap holding the speedo cable on a low mile survivor 428 SCJ MACH 1 one a friend of ours once owned.
2) This clip was also used on the nub closer to drivers valve cover on 1970 built Mustangs. See the last two pictures of this same clip. It seems this clip might have also been used to hold the windshield wiper motor harness and or the hood scoop turn signal
See the last two pictures showing the correct speedo cable routing for all 1969-70 4-speed Mustang/Shelby (Thank you Ed Meyer!)
Made in USA!! We Dead Nuts On did the CAD drawings in house here in California. We then sent the CAD drawings to our favorite small manufacture in Indiana that made the mold and produced the part. Thank you Eddie.
