Jack's Comments:
This is the latest Concours reproduction of one of the two short power steering hoses that connect the hydraulic ram to the valve body. It has the unique single crimped fitting used from 1967-69, zinc plating, hose markings and die stamped engineering number.
This hose cost a lot more than a regular service hose but its the only one on the market that fit, function and look just like factory hose.
CAUTION: This hose has to be installed in the correct port on ram and valve otherwise the steering wheel will violently rotated back and forth when started. Refer to the 1969 chassis assembly manual page 79 for proper installation. Ford Shop manuals also describes how to properly install this hose.
Q: What make this hose not exactly like a production hose?
A: Doesn't have the tiny FORD oval logo stamped next to the engineering number.
Recommended Power Steering Fluid:
NAPA 75-205
Other Applications:
1966-70 FALCON (before 1/1/70)
